Stari Grad (Old Town) is one of the municipalities of Sarajevo and the historical center of the city.It covers the eastern half of the historical part of Sarajevo, including Alifakovac, Bascarsija,Bendbasa, Bistrik and Vratnik.

Baš?aršija Sarajevo's old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baš?aršija, builtin the 15th Ages when the Isa Bey Ishakovi? founded the town. Keyword Baš?aršija derives fromthe word "right" which means "chief" in Turkish, so Baš?aršija means "main street".

On Baš?aršija there are several important historic buildings, such as Gazi Husrev-Beg's Mosque and clock tower. Today Baš?aršija is main tourist attractions of the city of Sarajevo.
